24-HOUR HELP LINE (1-800-SAY-KNOW) 1-800-729-5669 MEETINGS & SUPPORT GROUPSALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS (A.A.) offers a support group that provides sponsorship and a 12-step program for life without alcohol. AL-ANON/ALATEEN is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who believe their lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. AL-Anon is an anonymous program with the identity of all Al-Anon and A.A.members protected. Al-Anon is a program with the single purpose of helping families and friends of alcoholics, whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not. Al-Anon is free of charge. There are no dues or fees for membership. Adult Children of Alcoholics is a 12-step, 12-tradition program of women and men who grew up in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. Members meet with each other in a mutually respectful, safe environment and acknowledge common experiences. ALCOHOLICS VICTORIOUS is a Christian-oriented 12-step support group for those recovering from alcohol or chemical dependency. It provides information and referrals, literature, phone support, conferences, support group meetings, and a newsletter. NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS (N.A.) is a non-profit fellowship society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. Membership is open to all drug addicts, regardless of the particular drug or combination of drug used. NAR-ANON/NARATEEN provides support for families and friends of drug users.
Nar-anon/Narateen is a fellowship of relatives and friends of addicts who believe their lives have been affected by someone else’s addiction. Nar-anon/Narateen is an anonymous program with the identity of all Nar-anon/Narateen and members protected.
